The idea behind STOTL
Steve Jobs imagined asking Aristotle questions. STOTL turns that idea into a tutor.
The video explains the inspiration: a book or recorded course can preserve a teacher's ideas, but it cannot notice when a student is confused, ask what they think, or help them try again.
Aristotle is our first demonstration. His surviving works become the course material; an animated AI tutor explains the ideas, asks follow-up questions, and stays grounded in those sources. STOTL is designed to do the same with the videos, PDFs, worksheets, and lessons you already sell. Ask up to five questions—no account required.

The gap after the lesson
Students do not all get stuck in the same place.
A course platform can show that someone opened a lesson or finished a video. It cannot explain the idea differently, review a weak attempt, or help the student decide what to do next.

Do I need to rebuild my course?
No. The founding pilot starts with a course you already teach. STOTL organizes your existing videos, lessons, and downloads into short teaching steps that you review before students use them.
Does STOTL teach from my material?
Yes. You choose the videos, PDFs, worksheets, lessons, and examples STOTL may use. It can explain a lesson differently or choose another exercise, but it does not invent a new course or change what you teach.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT can discuss a file you upload. STOTL is built to teach an entire course from start to finish, remember where each student is, choose the right next lesson, and use the rules you set for what counts as good work.
What happens when a student gets stuck?
STOTL can explain it another way, ask an easier question, return to something the student missed, give them more practice, or tell the creator that a person needs to step in.
How does STOTL know whether someone learned something?
It does not count a watched video as proof of learning. STOTL asks the student to answer a question, make a decision, demonstrate a skill, or complete an assignment, then checks that work using the standards you set.
Does STOTL replace the creator or instructor?
No. STOTL helps a creator teach more students without giving up control of the course. The creator decides what is taught, what good work looks like, and which decisions still require a person.
What exists today?
STOTL is prelaunch, and founding-pilot applications are open. The course-upload, private-material, tutoring, and work-review pieces have been built and tested behind the scenes. We are connecting them into the complete pilot experience. Public student enrollment and self-serve access are not available yet.
